About Accelr8

Accelr8 Technology Corporation is a public company (AMEX: AXK). We entered the life sciences industry early in 2001 with the acquisition of advanced materials and instrumentation platforms for ultra-sensitive bio-analytic assays. Prior to the acquisition, we had been successful in the legacy migration software business that we started with the company's founding in 1987.

The acquisition included hard assets and a pipeline of intellectual property. We then aggressively pursued commercialization of the acquired technology.

We initially focused on OptiChem® surface chemistry. OptiChem has unique properties that we believed would become the core technical enabler of new products. We launched OptArray™ microarraying slides that use OptiChem coatings. After market introduction, we began to license out OptiChem coatings for use in microarraying slides.

Licensing freed our internal resources so we could then pursue development of an integrated analytical system. We now devote substantially all of our resources to the BACcelr8r™ development program.
